A Family Legacy of

Craftsmanship and Care

Quality Enclosures began with family and hard work. In the early 1960s, Manny and his brother Richard sold their first shower doors from a small kiosk at A&S and honed their craft in a garage in Mineola, New York. Manny built the company on two principles that still guide us today: workmanship you can trust and treating people like family.

That garage-born determination grew into a business with manufacturing and tempering facilities across the eastern United States. The next generation. Steve and Michael Schwartz now lead the company, carrying forward the practical wisdom and high standards their father instilled in them.

Our approach is simple and consistent: invest in our people, modernize with purpose, and focus on durable, American-made products. Whether it’s a single custom enclosure or a large commercial run, every product we deliver reflects decades of experience and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Built on loyalty. Made to last.

A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Family

1960s

Humble Beginnings in Mineola, NY

Quality Enclosures traces its roots to the early 1960s, when brothers and best friends Manny and Richard Schwartz began selling aluminum-framed shower enclosures out of a garage in Mineola, New York, under the name North American Enclosures. What started as a small local operation quickly earned a reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and genuine customer care, values that would become the foundation of everything to come.

Expansion and Evolution

Throughout the 1970s, the business expanded its horizons, growing across Long Island and beyond. During this period, North American Enclosures diversified into the picture frame manufacturing industry, achieving nationwide distribution and recognition for its precision-built aluminum frames.

1980s

The Pursuit of Excellence

The brothers decided to pursue separate paths, focusing on their business passions: Manny concentrated exclusively on the shower enclosure business, while Richard focused on expanding the picture frame division. Out of this decision, Executive Enclosures was born, a company devoted exclusively to the design and fabrication of high-end shower enclosures. Manny recognized the growing potential of the shower enclosure market. By the mid-1980s, the company began introducing heavy 3/8” glass as a premium option, a bold move that redefined quality and design standards across the industry.

1990s

The Formation of Quality Enclosures

In 1990, Executive Enclosures rebranded into Quality Enclosures, reflecting a stronger, more recognizable brand that embodied who the family was and what they stood for. Under Manny’s guidance, his son Michael Schwartz assumed leadership of the Central Islip, New York, facility, preparing to carry forward the family’s commitment to American manufacturing and exceptional service.

Meanwhile, in 1991, Steve Schwartz, Manny’s younger son, launched Quality Enclosures in Florida, expanding the family’s presence into the Southeast. The two companies, in New York and Florida, each serve distinct markets and share a common vision of craftsmanship, integrity, and family values, thereby strengthening the brand and reinforcing their commitment to the industry.
