Care & Maintenance
Keep Your Shower Enclosure Looking Like New
We build our glass enclosures to last, but proper care will help keep yours looking beautiful for years to come. Follow the simple steps below to maintain your shower’s clarity, shine, and performance.
Daily Cleaning Tips
The best way to keep your glass looking spotless is to wipe down the surface with a squeegee after every use. This prevents water spots and soap residue from drying on the glass.
- Use a clean, soft towel or microfiber cloth to dry the hardware and frame (for framed units).
- For light cleaning, avoid acid-based or harsh cleaners — these can damage glass and metal finishes.
- Instead, use one of the following gentle solutions:
- A mix of vinegar and water
- A diluted denatured alcohol and water solution
- A few drops of mild dishwashing liquid mixed with warm water
Important Reminders
- Handles, towel bars, and hinges are not designed to support body weight. Avoid leaning, pulling, or pushing on these parts — use grab bars if needed.
- Excessive pressure can weaken the enclosure or cause damage to the glass and hardware.
What Not to Use
Avoid products or tools that can scratch or corrode the materials. These can damage your metal hardware, corrode finishes, and weaken silicone seals.
- Abrasive powders or pads
- Steel wool
- Bleach, ammonia, or strong chemical cleaners
Door Seals & Sweeps
If your enclosure includes a polycarbonate door sweep, be sure to clean it regularly with mild soap and warm water.Over time, sweeps and seals naturally wear down, just like windshield wipers, and may need to be replaced. This is a normal part of maintenance and not covered under warranty.
Extend the Life of Your Enclosure
- Keep seals clean and free from residue.
- Avoid harsh chemicals that can make seals brittle or discolored.
- Use only gentle cleaning methods for long-term clarity and performance.
